How To Stay Cool When The Heat Is On

temperature

My iPhone overheated for the first time a few days ago.

The Wi-Fi access at Starbucks was on and off. The place was crowded and there were no tables available inside.

And then I lost the charge on my iPhone.

All in the middle of a business call with a new client.

I was hot.

Physically because it was almost 100 degrees outside.

Mentally because I thought I blew it with this new client. It was noisy with the crowd and loud music inside, and it was noisy because of the busy street outside. Too much noise.

So how did I stay cool when the heat was on?

  • I realized that technology isn’t always cipro medication cooperative and I would need to make the best of the situation.
  • I almost always carry my iPad with me so I had a backup device.
  • I told myself that it wouldn’t do any good to be upset about the temporary circumstances.
  • I thought of ways that I could better prepare myself should this happen again.
  • I knew that if the client relationship was meant to continue, he would be forgiving and it would all work out.

And it did.

If I continued to freak out, I would have wasted a lot of unnecessary energy.

How do you handle any pressure that comes from temporary circumstances? I would love your feedback.
