Is Katallaso A New Size at Starbucks?

Doesn’t “katallaso” sound like colossal?

It has nothing to do with size.

But it does have to do with business and your interactions with others.

The word katallaso is a Greek word defined by The NAS New Testament Greek Lexicon as the following:

“to change, exchange, as coins for others of equivalent valueExchange
to reconcile (those who are at variance)
return to favour with, be reconciled to one
to receive one into favour”

Should you use katallaso in your business?

Should there be an even exchange between you and your client?

Absolutely not.

Why?

Because your client needs to feel that they got the better deal.

That’s called service and adding value.

When you are the client, don’t you want to feel that you received enormous value and the better end of the deal?

In personal interactions, focus more on making the other person feel better after having left your company as opposed to what would benefit you.

Are there any situations that you think “katallaso” should apply to?  I would love to get your perspective.
