I've Got Nothing
How was your day?
Did you wake up fully rested, ready to face the day with hopeful expectations?
Or did you set your alarm 15 minutes early so that you could hit the snooze button a few times because you dreaded what the next few hours could bring?
I actually experienced both scenarios this morning…sort of.
I wasn’t fully rested but I did wake up with hopeful expectation.
I had to set the alarm earlier than normal due to a full day of being wife, mom, auntie, taxi driver, babysitter, entrepreneur and mover. And I woke up before my alarm in anticipation of all that I had before me.
So, it was one thing after another and by the end of the day, my body and mind said,
“I’ve got nothing.”
Nothing left to give and nothing more that I could do.
But I did have something.
- I had gratitude for God telling me this morning to trust Him with all my concerns.
- I had gratitude that I get to work virtually with flexible hours.
- I had gratitude that I have my health and a sound mind.
- I had gratitude that I get to homeschool my precious boy.
- I had gratitude that I get to express my thoughts and creativity through writing these blog posts.
When you think you’ve got nothing, you’ve still got something.
What are you grateful for? I would love to hear your feedback.
